Colour-effect and security inks present the latest developments in ink technology. They fulfil numerous demands and are particularly suitable for unusual effects (eg in promotions) but also as a component of security labels. The luminescent varnishes and inks used by RÖMER ETIKETT are invisible in daylight or appear as a pale pastel shade, if desired. They light up in blue-yellow and red under a UV-lamp or in disco-black-light. They are available for screen as well as flexographic printing and both processes can be combined. The security aspect of luminescent inks is evident when for example a colourless code on a black surface is clearly visible under a UV lamp. Shine-in-the-dark colours do exactly that - shine in the dark. A yellow-green light effect remains intense for a long time after the light is switched off. The range of uses stretches from the labelling of children's toys and products to security stickers. Infra-red-sensitive (IR) colours light up under IR-light. These are most frequently used as authenticity protection for brand-name products and as control and security measures.
